Most paver patio installations take between 3 and 7 days, depending on the size of the patio, site access, and the materials selected. We give you a realistic timeline in your estimate and keep you updated throughout the job. We don’t rush base preparation — that’s what separates a patio that stays flat for 20 years from one that heaves after its first New England winter.
Yes. We handle chimney repointing and recapping — the two most common masonry repairs for New England homes. Repointing replaces the failing mortar between bricks to stop water from getting in. Recapping replaces the concrete cap at the top of the chimney. Both are straightforward repairs that prevent much more expensive damage if you wait too long.
Most residential paver and stone patios do not require a permit in Massachusetts, because they are not considered permanent structures under the state building code. However, retaining walls over four feet tall, any structure attached to the home, or work that significantly alters drainage or grading may require a local permit depending on your town’s bylaws. We’ll advise you on your specific project during the estimate visit and handle permit coordination if one is required.
We work most of the year. Chimney repointing and masonry repairs can be done through late fall, as long as temperatures stay consistently above 40°F — mortar needs that minimum to cure correctly. New patio installations and large construction projects are best done between April and November when the ground supports proper base compaction. If you’re planning a project for spring or summer, contacting us in late winter puts you at the front of the schedule.
